Cutaway Guitar

2007 Cutaway Guitar with Soundport

This is my latest fingerstyle guitar. Padauk back and sides, Sitka spruce top, african mahogany neck, maple trim and Schaller mini tuners. This is a hotrod acoustic guitar. The cutaway smooths into the heel providing easy access to the upper fret board. A sound port located on the upper bout creates a "surround sound" experience for the player without diminishing volume or performance. Indeed it seems to loosen up the entire instrument to make it more responsive. A serious tone monster, the custom bracing pattern is all scalloped and as finely finished as the exterior. Tonally it is exceptionally well-balanced through bass, midrange and treble, with excellent sustain, projection and volume. It has a 640 mm (25 3/16 inches) scale.

Parlour Guitar

This small bodied steel string guitar has a sitka spruce soundboard, bocote back and sides, padauk binding, Schaller tuners and 640 mm scale. Test playing revealed my characteristic balance between bass and treble, lots of bass response and strong midrange for a smaller guitar.
